Range Rover Evoque Warning Lights: What They Mean & How to Respond

Our Land Rover Freeport service center is here to help you identify the warning lights your Range Rover Evoque dashboard may display, and how to respond accordingly.
Range Rover Evoque Dashboard Warning Lights
Auto High-Beam Assist: If this icon lights up in green on your dashboard, this means your lights are set to automatic. High beams will turn on automatically when it’s dark out and there aren't other drivers in your field of view, and will turn off accordingly.
Battery: A red light for this icon means your battery is not charging correctly – our certified technicians can perform an inspection to find out what’s wrong. Alternatively, if you see the “Smart Key Battery Low” warning, you have to change the battery in your key fob.
Brakes: The red brake fluid symbol (“BRAKE” in all caps) notifies you that brake fluid is low. If you add more and the light stays on, there might be a more severe issue with your brakes. A yellow brake warning light means brake pads are worn down, and should be replaced.
Critical Warning Icon: This icon means your Range Rover Evoque has an important update you need to implement as soon as possible. Red warnings are especially urgent while orange/amber warnings mean they should be addressed in the near future. | ![]() |
Engine/Transmission: Various lights indicate issues with your engine but this icon will illuminate when you start the vehicle, and should turn off soon after. If it stays on, there might be a problem with your SUV’s emissions and service may be required. | ![]() |
Engine Temperature: This icon in red means the powertrain is overheating. Pull over at the soonest opportunity and give the engine some time to cool – generally at least 20 to 30 minutes – before you open the hood to investigate deeper. | ![]() |
Tires: Indicates low tire pressure – inflate your tires or change them as soon as possible. If the light is red instead of yellow, one or more of your tires are severely deflated. A flat tire is usually indicated by an exclamation point in the middle of the semi-circle, with visible tread on the bottom. | ![]() |
