May 25th, 2018 by
The Land Rover InControl Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is a driver-assistance feature that uses cameras and is designed to avoid low-speed collisions or reduce impact. The Autonomous Emergency Braking system is a standard safety feature on the new Land Rover Discovery Sport, the new Land Rover Velar, and other models in the lineup.

How Does It Work?

The Land Rover InControl Autonomous Emergency Braking system was designed to help Rockville Centre drivers enjoy more peace of mind while on the go. Although this feature should never replace your driving instincts, it does help keep you safe in multiple ways:

  • Small video camera monitors surroundings when speed is low
  • The camera determines distance between you and objects in front of you
  • The system will alert you using a Forward Alert message on your information cluster
  • If you don’t reduce speed, the Land Rover Autonomous Emergency Braking system will automatically apply brake pressure for you
